The banker Simon Moritz of Bethmann let build 1815 a stylish housing for the world-famous sculpture Ariadne on the panther of the sculptor Johann Heinrich of Dannecker. The einstöckige Adrianeum was the first museum building of the city; next to the show room, it harbored also an attendant dwelling. The sculpture recovered was received 1853 a new domicile, that Adrianeum of the city and is named since then Odeon. The klassizistische building lies on an easy elevation in the Eschenheimer unit, a part of the green belt, that surrounds the inner cities. After a renovation of the building in the '80er's a café and a discotheque are accommodated today therein.
